A’hoy! Welcome to Pirate Spirit

Heya, I’m Nat! I love to sew and craft, creating fun things that I hope others will enjoy – as much as I have making them. I am a sucker for buying cute fabrics, but I also enjoy making sure things don’t go to waste. Some of my items have purely been created to min/max the usage of materials. I don’t really follow seasonal trends or anything like that, and create more from inspiration.

I like making things I can take with me when I travel, and bits to share around. New clip on ears are on the to do list, as I have spread the previous ones across continents and festivals.

One-of-a-Kind by Design

When I say one-of-a-kind, I mean it literally. Each piece I make is handmade by me from my home in Naarm (Melbourne), Australia. Ideas and designs exist because I was inspired by materials that found me at the perfect time.

My collections are small, and restocks are unpredictable, and every piece has its very own story. Some materials I have collected on my travels, others I got just cos they were cute and I knew I needed to make a guitar strap, or hat, or even plushie with them. I have days when I don’t want to be behind a screen, it’s nice to be able to make things.

Sometimes things are limited and there was enough materials to make more than one.

Crafted With Love

I create for people who appreciate the handmade difference and who want a unique product that matches their personality. From guitar straps for musicians who want to reflect their style on stage, to gamers wanting to make sure their DnD die are protected between adventures, to people who just love soft, cute toys.

I pour myself into each item I make, and thoroughly enjoy the process. I love creating these products and watching how each item comes together. I make them because I am inspired and I want to, The only problem is that I want to create so many different things, that I can’t keep or use them all – so phew, am I glad you’re here.

Created With Purpose

I want the things I make to not only bring joy, but I want to create something that extends beyond. I have connected my creations with causes close to my heart in the past, Such as 20% of each elephant plush sold was donated to Reteti Elephant Sanctuary in Kenya. My goal is to run campaigns like this one, where you’re not just getting a unique handmade piece, you’re also helping to support meaningful causes. It’s one way I feel that I can share the joy that creating brings me, while also giving back to communities that inspire me.
